Storytime
For first year students, the spring semester began with a course on the role narratives can play in design - from concept development to arguing for the relevance of a design output within a specific societal context.
For the fashion and textile program, the themes explored included expressing emotional fragility through knit, challenging body ideals through refiguring the dress form, revisiting childhood monsters as a way of addressing fear in adulthood and textile installation encouraging us to cherish playful innocence.
