Sustainable design-solutions are the future, and sustainable consumption and production involve doing more and better with less.

'Resonate' is a packaging design proposal for Bang & Olufsen’s E8 earbuds focused on using sustainable materials yet creating an impressive unboxing experience for the luxurious brand’s customers.

With attention to tactility, experience and materials, the packaging reflects resonance. The box is biodegradable, made out of recycled paper fibre with a mixture of bamboo and sugarcane fibre. The fibres are turned into a pulp, then moulded into shells using a form.

A cymatic formation is sculpted into the front of the packaging, creating a three-dimensional tactile experience. The middle is moulded as an audio landscape, continuing the story of resonate and adding a surprise element. The drawstring bag is made out of surplus leather from the production of the charger.
