Class of 2015: Stephane Park

Only a few months after graduating from Fashion Design, Stephane founded the accessory brand Aesther Ekme in 2015. ‘Aesther’ is from Ancient Greek meaning classical while ‘Ekme’ is a historical type of shoulder bag used by the Crimean Tartars. Together the brand spells classical bags.

Aiming for a seasonless, lasting and understated elegance, the brand has been off to a flying start appealing to the modern woman who needs to pack her laptop, ride her bike and still look chic. Two years down the road, her fans include Vogue and the Danish Crown Princess Mary. Aesther Ekme is available in stores from Japan, South Korea, Canada, Denmark and beyond including online retailers such as Matchesfashion.com.

Stephane was born in Brazil and currently resides in Copenhagen while working internationally. Before joining KADK, she completed her BA at Parsons School of Design in New York and worked in the accessory team at Alexander Wang.

She was recently awarded a grant from the Danish Arts Foundation meant to support Danish crafts and design abroad.

Stephane’s door is always open to great interns with an entrepreneurial spirit. Contact recruitment@aestherekme.com.
