Following the exhibition ‘Circular Economy in architechture and design’, KADK presents an open seminar series wich focuses on themes as interaction between architechture, nature and circular design. The seminar series draws on knowledge and experience from some of the worlds leading architects and designers in the field.

This lecture is conducted by Jeff Betts, CEO at Ecovative and Jonas Engberg, Head of Sustainability of IKEA. The seminar will focus on biomaterials and design inspired by nature where lamps and packaging are grown from mushroom materials. Ecovative’s technology resolves critical concerns for waste, energy, and consumer health. The products are a completely biodegradable replacement for polystyrene, packing material or insulation. IKEA is a partner in LAUNCH Circular and helps innovators scale through collaboration. Jonas Engberg (Sustainability Manager at IKEA) and Jeff Betts (Founder of Ecovative and LAUNCH Innovator 2016) will at the seminar November 16th, 2017 at 15:00-17:00 talk about their professional and personal journey towards a circular economy and how they have collaborated in new packaging.
