On Friday 10 October 2014, KADK welcomes you to a spectacular Culture Night. Learn more about the students education within the fields of architecture, design and conservation and experience how to draw sketches and build models
The KADK programme for Culture Night 2014
Meldahls Smedie
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Auditorium 1: Blok 1 - the exhibition shows examples of materials from 180 architecture students from their first six weeks of study
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: The Exhibition Hall: The exhibition Elements shows some of the works of architect Jacob Sebastian Bang
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: The Exhibition Hall: Elements – drawing contest: Life drawing of plaster models from the exhibition Elements – prizes for the best drawings
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Auditorium 2 and 6: Blok 3 – skeleton and mass. Exhibition on materials and their meaning. 180 students present their six week course on materials
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Auditorium 3: Experience the spectacular 3D with the Oculus Virtual-Reality glass and have your sense challenged in the virtual world. Allowed for children from seven years of age
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: The Gallery: Textile exhibition Empowerment through Design + workshop and the furniture exhibition Morphology from the School of Design
The Print Shop
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: The School of Design’s Photo and Print Shop is open. You will see how the shops work as part of the design education
5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Light Graffiti – light graffiti is a photographic technique where you paint with light on a photography. Experiment on the technique with “Young Light” in the photo studio

5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: The exhibition MIKROSKOPI by Siri Faarup Vilbøl (student at the School of Conservation)
8 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Kaja Haven (student at the School of Architecture) presents Super Spacer Project Electronica
9 p.m. to 10.45 p.m.: Adam T. Hermansen (student at the School of Design) presents Lightscapes – a journey of installation with spacious experiments.

5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Visit the School of Conservation. Conservation is a versatile profession – learn about our work on cultural and natural objects (in Danish)
7 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.: Sankt Annæs Gymnasium’s family choir sings
AMALIEGADE
The Library (KVIC)
6 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Murals in Bulgaria and in Denmark. Speaker: Krassy Frangova (in English)
7 p.m. to 8 p.m.: Arne Redsted Rasmussen holds a lecture on DNA in conservation (in Danish)
8 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Choir-singing in the library hall. Sankt Annæs Gymnasium’s family choir sings in the library hall
21 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Mikkel Scharff holds a lecture on conservation, science and the humanities (in Danish)
