The exhibition Elements shows how architecture finds new forms through an experimental practice in which ideas emerge through transformation, error and interpretation of material. Elements follows experiments and malformations in architect Jacob Sebastian Bang’s work in the form of numerous drawings and models shown in the exhibition.

Elements

In both his research and in his teaching Jacob Sebastian Bang works with the architectural form and potential. He shows how the model and sketch can be exploited to decode issues and to build new answers. It is not the targeting approach of scientific research, but rather an artistic development that is in play when architect Jacob Sebastian Bang with a tireless trial-and-error-approach produces 1001-plaster models to decode the material and to find inherent characters and rules.

Elements

The exhibition shows the potential of the model and sketch and how experiments can form new thoughts, that both generates response, works and products, which can be brought in to new experiments.
