KADK is proud to welcome the British architect Eddie Blake. The lecture 'Live Forever: Architecture, Analysis and Immortality' is part of the International Lecture Series. The recurring theme for the lecture series this autumn is 'The Art of Analysis'.

Architecture is a discipline which thrives on analysis. As a cultural expression it constantly revisits its own references, so much so that it's haunted by its own past. Persistently revisiting its own psyche – analyzing, measuring – attempting to understand its objects, its drives and ultimately, itself.

The result being that the process of analysis inevitably changes the analytical subject. The discipline of architecture is both the subject and analyst – it flourishes through scrutinising while resisting easy interpretation. In this lecture Eddie Blake will hold architecture’s hand and tell it that 'everything is going to be OK'.
