Following the exhibition ‘Circular Economy in architechture and design’, KADK presents an open seminar series wich focuses on themes as interaction between architechture, nature and circular design. The seminar series draws on knowledge and experience from some of the worlds leading architects and designers in the field.
Democratic design, social space, natural light and natural materials. How can we build on the values of the Nordic design tradition when creating the liveable sustainable architecture of the future?
This lecture is conducted by Kasper Guldager, Senior Partner of GXN, Lone Wiggers, Partner of CF Møller, and Signe Kongebro, Partner of Henning Larsen. In the lecture they will present new international projects that takes a Nordic approach to sustainable architecture working with social and natural qualities as core design principles.
Among the projects presented will be 3XN/GXN’s Quay Quarter Tower in Sydney that uses a design-for-dissambly approach to create a highly dynamic building that can adjust to the needs of its occupants, CFMøller’s HSB highrise in Stockholm in solid wood and Henning Larsen’s Headquarters for Siemens in Munich where design with daylight and urban integration have created a new vision of what it means to be a locally engaged global company.
