For the third year in a row, CINARK - has provided the framework for the Scandinavian Sustainable Summer Course held at KADK from 16. - 20. June. The course is organized under the auspices of the University of Pennsylvania School of Design in collaboration with the three Nordic schools of architecture – AHO, Oslo, KTH, Stockholm and Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art School of Architecture in Copenhagen.

The course last three weeks in June, where a small group of American students and six Scandinavian students together with teachers from UPENN and from the Nordic schools of architecture are studying examples of sustainable architecture.
The course is based on study visits complemented by theoretical lectures - where the differences between Denmark, Sweden and Norway are being analyzed and discussed.

This year the studies concerned how sustainability; can be promoted through buildings with green roofs as exemplified in  '8-House' and the 'Mountain-dwelling' in the Ørestad, can be justified by 'transformation' in the recycling of National Broadcasting House when being used as Conservatory, can be subject to technological innovation in the kindergarten Solhuset, in Hørsholm by VELUX or in Ramboll's headquarters.

This year, Marie Persson from Study depart.7  and Lea Olsson from Study depart 10 -  participated from KADK.
