The School of Design at KADK is proud to welcome Michael Mckay as Adjunct Professor, adding further strength to the design education and design research at KADK. In his inaugural lecture Michael McKay will talk about design, design strategy and design thinking in large size organisations.
Michael Mckay has acquired a central position in Denmark as a strategic design advisor and facilitator of development through design thinking, -processes and new ways of innovation through design. In addition, he has extensive experience in managing UX Design processes in Danish and international organizations.
Michael Mckay will add an extensive international experience from design practice that will strengthen the design education and design research at KADK.
In his inaugural lecture, Michael McKay will cover thoughts, principles and methods to drive design, design strategy and design thinking into large size organizations in order to drive user centric cultures and ultimately enable a stronger focus on making products and services our customers love and use every day.
With a long experience working in the cross field between Technology, Design and Business innovation, Michael McKay will talk about bringing leadership, inspiration and new methodology into organizations. How to you design a culture? How do you infuse change on a large scale? What is the role of the design team as the organization moves towards user centricity?
He will discuss the tools and mindsets that are necessary to stimulate as the organization prepares for change. How do you drive strategies for infusing design into an organization?
During the lecture he uses examples from his career within companies like Nokia, Yahoo!, Amazon, Ebay, PayPal and Ørsted.
