A research workshop by CITA with Marcos Cruz and Marjan Colletti of the Bartlett School of Architecture

The course is based on the coupling between digital design processes and digital manufacturing techniques. By examining how digital design can lead to highly complex and individualized solutions the workshop examined how material properties can be integrated into design solutions.

The course examines 3D modeling and laser cutting as a manufacturing technology. The course examines how digital processes and concepts changes the role of drawing from merely representational to machine instructions.
