Over the past 30 years, fashion studies has flourished internationally as a trans-disciplinary field. Center for Fashion Thinking provides the framework for exploring new avenues of fashion research that are open and inclusive in themes and methodologies.
The objective is to leave previous tendencies of distinctions between theory and practice behind from the point of view that these and other dichotomies tend to be restrictive at all levels. 
Fashion is considered a creative, social, cultural and economic force and Fashion Thinking proposed studying this force from a position that is as void of pre-conceived ideological and normative agendas as possible.
