Short about Centre for Sports and Architecture

The Centre for Sports and Architecture is a research centre connected to the School of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. The centre works within the field of sports, bodyculture, architecture and planning. The ambition is to sharpen the architectural quality in buildings and environments containing  sports, leisure and cultural aspects. Through research, communication and counselling, we develop and share our knowledge.

The Centre for Sports and Architecture was established by the School of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts in collaboration with the Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities in 2002.

Dissemination

At the Centre for Sports and Architecture we put a lot of effort in communicating our knowledge widely. Through books, articles, lectures, workshops and exhibitions, we share our expertise and experience on innovative ideas in planning and construction of sports, activities and culture.
