The world is full of important problems that can be overwhelming in their complexity. As an educator my ambition is to increase the risk appetite of codesign students. I push students to leave their comfort zone and put assumptions and ideas at risk. One of the most important objectives for a codesign student is the ability for action in the face of uncertainty.
To achieve that, I suggest here a few slogans to study by: Don’t follow the professor. Take responsibility for setting a problem and tackling it through concrete experiments. Avoid mainstream and push the margins. Explore issues from within, not from a distance. Build both conceptually and physically. Accept failure and carry on iterating!
