Healthcare

Health Insurance

Once you have registered with Danish authorities and obtained your social security number and health card all international students are entitled to free healthcare in Denmark. We recommend to take out a personal insurance keeping your covered in the interim until you are able to register with Danish authorities.

Registering for Health Insurance

Once you have arrived and received your residence permit or registration certificate, you will register for your CPR number and health insurance card. The CPR number and health insurance card are connected so you register for them at the same time.

For information about the registration process please see Social Security (CPR) Number.
