The cross-disciplinary Institute of Architecture and Design is constantly exploring how architecture meets design and how design meets architecture. Based on a Danish tradition of working with design in a spatial and architectural context, our ambition is to set a new agenda in the development of business areas and competencies for architects and designers.
Students who graduate from the institute possess strong competencies and methods of working with architectural and design solutions – always with the human experience at heart. At IBD, we are all about workshop skills (1:1), tactility, knowledge of materials and technology, anthropological methods, entrepreneurship and experimentation. Sustainability and social awareness are key, as well as collaborations with a number of external partners.
