Institutes

The Royal Danish Academy’s institutes bring together the Academy’s core provisions. The institutes carry out education, research and development. The institutes plan and organise research and teaching within their field of study and shape it further in the school’s programmes, where students, researchers, educators and practitioners meet

The institutes form a framework for development work, which takes place in laboratories and workshops, at drawing boards and in the field in all formats. The institutes are headed by institute heads, who are accountable to the three Schools’ subject heads and the Rector.
