Cinark 10 år!

2014 is a milestone year for CINARK and 1 February we - or indeed everybody who have helped along the way - can look back on 10 eventful and productive years!

The architectural challenges and potentials created by the industrialised construction process has been the focal point of the centre. With an open mind we have dealt with the pros and cons of industrialisation, with the aim to make construction more sustainable. Over the years we have made way for several publications, public events, exhibitions, industrial PhDs, interdisciplinary collaborations, as well as bringing knowledge into the architectural educational program.

It has proven to be a field requiring architectural attention, and calling on the architects’ engagement across education, research and practice -and there is still a need for serious engagement if the architects want an influence on how our buildings turn out - how they built.

What happens in 2014...

In order to strengthen the field CINARK will take part in a new graduate programme entitled; Human Settlement , Ecology and Tectonics - at the Institute of Architecture and Technology , KADK from August 2014.

This ten year anniversary is marked with a special publication from the centre - an encyclopaedia that embraces CINARK's diverse activities. It will be celebrated with a launch party later this year.
