Exhibition: Material and Experiment

From April 20 until May 19 2016, it is possible to get a closer look at what KADK students in textile and fashion design have been working on recently.

The exhibition is called Material and Experiment, and is a showcase of the creative work by 2nd year students.

The exhibitors writes:

"Why is properties and material often combined? How could the property of the material also be applied? What would be the result of the meeting between the material and other applications?

The performance of materials is often expressed by means of specific tools that allow different properties to reveal themselves. Why do these tools show different properties of the material? How could other tools influence the material? What could be the result of the meeting between the material and another type of tool?

These questions have been the focus of the work by the 2nd year students in textile and fashion design, during their two-week long project. Based on the material of their choice the students have been experimenting and examining new applications for the material. “
