Exhibition: Stories from Antwerp

Date
16.02.2016
Stories from Antwerp – an exhibition made by 3rd year students from Institute for Architecture and Culture

From February 16 until March 15 2016, the KADK Library will host the exhibition “Stories from Antwerp”.  The exhibition consists of objects in 1:1, with inspiration from fieldworks in the Belgium port city, Antwerp.

On February 16 at 15:00, there will be an exhibition preview where everyone is welcome.

The exhibition is created by 3rd year students from Institute for Architecture and Culture. Robert Gassner, Thomas Ryborg, Claus Pryds, Gitte Juul and Kristian Hansen are teaching the class. They describe the study as follows: ”It is possible to place Antwerp and Copenhagen as each other’s opposite - between the “messy” Antwerp and the “proper” Copenhagen. Even though the differences are striking, it is not as simple as that. This discussion of difference in building culture and the “cultural exchange” between the two cities, are the focus for our study.
