Graduate wins 1st Prize in 'Drawing of the Year 2014'

On Friday 5 December Olga Krukovskaya received 1st Prize in the international student competition 'Drawing of the Year 2014'.

Olga Krukovskaya who graduated from The Royal Danish Fine Arts Academy - School of Architecture this Summer was awarded the 1st Prize for her drawing that in classic drawing technique discusses the relationship between restoration and modern architecture. The jury called it "an exceptional, professional and finely-detailed drawing in pencil, felt tip pen, and ink".

"Drawing of the Year" is the result of cooperation between the Aarhus School of Architecture and schmidt / hammer / lassen architects, involving also VOLA and the Danish Arts Foundation.The School has received a total of more than 200 contributions from 32 countries.

The jury consisted of Jenny Osuldsen, from architectural firm Snøhetta (Oslo), Morten Schmidt from schmidt, hammer, lassen architects and Rector Torben Nielsen, Aarhus School of Architecture.
