Based on the government's desire for internationalisation of educational programmes in Denmark and society's need for increased innovation and creativity in Danish companies, KADK are now expanding their activities in the areas of continuing education and further education.  The goal is to be the first choice, when foreign students look towards Denmark and companies need to improve their competencies.

"We have totally unique facilities and strong research and teaching environments, which make us particularly attractive in both the Danish and international education market. Therefore, we are starting to look at the opportunities for expanding our range of paid programmes at the very highest level. We will build on our successes and positive experience with continuing and further education in the fields of design, design management and strategic urban planning," says Prorector, Svend Lawaetz

Huge interest in Danish architecture, design and art
Right now we are witnessing an enormous amount of interest from abroad in our summer schools and graduate programmes. And in Danish architecture and design companies, who want to refuel their knowledge," says Head of Education, Ida Engholm, who will be in charge of the work.

The goal is, from 2015, to develop new, targeted continuing and further education provisions for fee-paying students and companies, alongside KADK's academic and research programmes. This will serve to enhance the schools' strong position as a hub for innovation and business development at the interface between art, education and industry.
