It is a great pleasure to introduce an interdisciplinary team, who are to maintain and reinforce KADK’s position as Denmark’s leading educational institution within architecture, design and conservation.
Lene Dammand Lund.

On 1 October 2012, a new strategic management team will take up office at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK). A new Pro-rector and a new management team are to develop the schools and ensure world-class education, research and artistic development.

Lene Dammand Lund started as Rector on 1 April 2012 and is now introducing a new strategic management team with Svend Lawaetz as Pro-rector. Svend Lawaetz joins KADC from a position as Head of Knowledge and Innovation at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. He is to reinforce the schools’ external collaboration and assist Rector in strengthening the three schools through the merger. Each of the three schools will have a Head of School who is to ensure that the high academic content is retained and developed in correlation with the outside world. A new Head of Administration is to set new standards for the interaction between administration, teaching and research. Finally, new Heads of Research and Education are to coordinate research and educational activities across the schools, ensuring exchange with other institutions of higher education in Denmark and abroad.

“The new management team will contribute to making everybody at KADK and all relevant players in both the Danish and the international society aware of how KADK contributes to value creation. KADK is to be the obvious collaboration partner for relevant businesses and organisations in their work with new knowledge – and when they need to find the best suited graduates within architecture, design and conservation,” says Rector Lene Dammand Lund.
