New Design Talents Took to the Catwalk at Future of Fashion 2017
Together with Design School Kolding, a new team of 11 designers from KADK’s School of Design presented their graduation collections to the fashion industry at a beautiful and inspiring Future of Fashion show on 10 August as part of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair at the Bella Center. Hearts were pumping backstage and there were big smiles out front, when the latest fashion graduates from KADK’s School of Design and Design School Kolding turned an ordinary Wednesday into a party with a tremendously beautiful Future of Fashion show, which was organised as part of Copenhagen Fashion Fair in the Bella Center.
An hour before the show, the designers presented their portfolios of looks and collections to invited guests from the worlds of fashion and business: a networking/matchmaking initiative aimed at providing the students with an easier transition to the labour market.
As usual, the actual show was a major attraction, and the place was packed as the models strode down the catwalk wearing the very latest clothes from Denmark’s talented young designers.
Fashion researcher and curator, Ane Lynge-Jorlén: “Coherent story telling and huge diversity.”
Head of Design at Samsøe & Samsøe, Mia Kappelgaard: “Life-affirming creativity and dynamism.”
Rumiko Kuse, UEDA College of Fashion: "Very nice play between textile and colour.":
