Master’s Programme

Industrial Design

Short about Industrial Design

The Design School’s Master’s degree programme in Industrial Design focuses particularly on the relationship between problem solving and design in the context of Scandinavian traditions of design, learning and interdisciplinary problem solving.

The programme is thematically structured with an emphasis on the applicable contexts of solutions. Thus, design projects are mainly regarded on the basis of their technological, utilitarian, aesthetic and cultural conditions.

The Master’s degree programme is very much oriented towards company and research work. This also applies to the graduation project. The programme seeks to enhance the student’s horizon, maturity and perspective by allowing them to get acquainted with a variety of company cultures and organisations.

Looking ahead, actual career opportunities range from the corporate level and design-run companies to entrepreneurship and freelance design.
