Bachelor’s Programme

Natural History

Conservation of animals, plants and fossils

Short about Natural History

In the Natural History programme at the School of Conservation we tackle the conservation of animals, plants and fossils. The curriculum also includes the subjects of dissemination and nature conservation.

Natural history conservation requires the use of both head and hands. It is, therefore, important that you enjoy using both at the same time.

You will be taught aspects of botany, zoology, geology and chemistry to support the teaching of natural history conservation. You will also produce models and compounds on the basis of your own studies and work on original museum objects.

Much of the teaching takes place in the field and in the context of natural history and medical museums.
