Cultural Historical Conservation

Preservation of objects of archaeological or historical origin

Short about Cultural Historical Conservation

On the bachelor's programme 'Cultural historical conservation', you are taught the conservation of cultural historical objects of both archaeological and historical origin. You get a broad theoretical and practical introduction to conservation of central material groups.

You will learn to use advanced technology and specialized laboratory equipment so that you can perform the best conservation treatment while learning to create the best protective and life-extending conditions for the objects. During the course of your studies, you will work with unique museum objects, where, in interaction with the natural scientific approach to materials and decomposition, you will practice consideration of the cultural-historical context in the decision on the optimal conservation treatment.
