Through close collaboration with inmates and prison guards from all over Denmark, I realized how spending time in jail can be a stressful and tough experience - which might be the reason why inmates often leave jail with weaker preconditions, than when they entered.

As inmates spend up to 23 hours a day in the cell, it was obvious to design a lamp that meets the need of a more light, personal and stimulating cell.

The lamp consists of two separate dimmable LED light sources, which enables the inmate to illuminate floor and ceiling with warm and cold light.
