Visionen 

Visionen for opgaven er at udvikle en arkitektonisk strategi for, hvorledes udflytningen af statslige arbejdspladser kan indgå i en lokal byudvikling og skabe potentiel vækst.

I hjertet af Svendborg Havn ligger Frederiksøen - en kunstigt anlagt ø med en rig søfartshistorie og kulturarv. Gennem en stedsspecifik strategi transformeres dele af Frederiksøen således, at de tildelte arbejdspladser kan imødekommes. Disse kontorer bearbejdes, så de optræder i tæt relation til stedets maritime atmosfære og særegne omgivelser, hvorfor et attraktiv, åbent og inspirerende miljø skabes.

Dermed skabes en ny, levende bydel udviklet med et ønske om at transformere frem for at nedrive, hvorfor stedets ånd, industriarkitektur og historiske dybde bliver et bærende element.

The Royal Danish Academy supports the Sustainable Development Goals
