Rectorate and management

KADK is headed by a Rector. The Rector is answerable to KADK’s Board of Governors, who in turn are answerable to the Minister of Education. The Rectorate, which comprises the Rector, Lene Dammand Lund and Vice-Rector, Svend Lawaetz, take care of the uppermost day-to-day management of KADK.

The day-to-day management is carried out by a Rector within the framework laid down by the Board. The remainder of the managerial team carry out their tasks under the authority of the Rector.

The Vice-Rector has primary responsibility for KADK’s overall finances, business development and continuing and further education, and is in charge of KADK’s administrative managers, whose units support KADK’s core activities. See an overview of the administrative units.

Heads of School
KADK has three Heads of School who have overall responsibility for the respective courses. They implement KADK’s strategy at course level in cooperation with the relevant Heads of Department. They represent the respective schools in the public eye and are responsible for the quality of their courses. The Heads of School are answerable to the Rector.

Heads of Department
KADK’s Heads of Department are answerable to the Rector and facilitate management processes and dialogue with the staff and students of KADK’s 6 departments. The Heads of Department coordinate their activities in accordance with the guidelines defined by the Head of School at school level.
Each Head of Department is in charge of his/her department’s staff and is responsible for the organisation of the department, together with the research, development, practice and academic environment and the planning and distribution of tasks, operational budget and the guaranteed care of staff and talent. 

Strategic Management Team

The Strategic Management Team has overall responsibility for KADK’s entire portfolio of strategic development projects, and discuss topics that form the basis for the Board’s work. Participants: Rector, Vice-Rector, Heads of School, Head of Research, CFO, Head of Communications, Head of IT/Campus.

Department Management
The heads of department discuss matters relating to research and teaching across KADK. The meetings also serve as a forum for mutual orientation and inspiration for Heads of Department: for example, in the context of management development. Participants: Rector, Heads of School, Heads of Department, Head of Research, Head of Research Administration and Head of Study Administration.

Administrative Management
The Administrative Managers discuss matters across KADK’s activities. The meetings serve as a forum for mutual orientation and inspiration. Participants: Vice-Rector and heads of the administrative units.
