Strategy for collaboration with the business community

In all our programmes our work is focused on the business community and practice. From admission until the final exam and in all the continuing/further education we provide.

“In our artistic academic programmes we have a time-honoured tradition of regarding the practical element as part of the educational process: for example, by means of internships and project-oriented teaching given by professional practitioners. Practice is one of the three legs we stand on. Research and artistic development are the two others. It is vital that the political focus on un-/employment does not lead to a distortion of our education, so that we become too industry-oriented at the expense of the research and artistic aspects. Having said that, there is a need for initiatives - and we have those initiatives ready.”
Lene Dammand Lund
Rector

In 2015-2017, KADK’s initiatives in terms of the business community and authorities will include increased focus on:

  • New academic programmes with close ties to the business community, starting 2014
  • Increased business cooperation with companies through educational partnerships and internship schemes to open up new areas of employment and support society’s agenda for growth
  • New career initiatives with career guidance for all of the schools’ graduate students and new mentor schemes: e.g. in the architecture programme
  • Targeted continuing and further education

7 inroads to innovation and collaboration

KADK’s departments represent 7 inroads to collaborating with KADK. The departments serve as engines of growth for new development partnerships in the borderland between research-based education, artistic development enterprise and innovation.

All departments have strategic collaborations with relevant authorities, institutions and companies, both at home and abroad.
