CAFx KADK lecture series: Colorful Crossroads from PAPER to the Crystal Palace

KADK and the Copenhagen Architecture Festival invite you to the CAF x KADK lecture series as part of the Copenhagen Architecture Festival April 27th - May 7th 2017.

André Tavares: Colorful Crossroads from PAPER to the Crystal Palace
The Portu-based architect André Tavares, who
was curator of the 2016 Lisbon Architecture Trianniale ‘The Form of Form’, investigates the movements from the printed debates on architectural polychromy towards their materialization in the colors of the Crystal Palace. What are the links between printing techniques and specific architectural arguments? Is it possible to link architectural controversies to the dissemination of printing techniques? Referring to both photography, chromolithography, and construction, he will explore the movements between books and buildings, assessing how printing techniques have shaped architectural ideas.
