"Containment is an intricate aspect of architecture. In essence, the design of physical elements to keep some things in, and somethings out; wind, temperature, people, while inspiring in its artistic form. Therefore, it has always been an interest of mine how, albeit having to contain, architecture also liberates other functions to happen more freely and in focus, " siger David Garcia, "In my work with extremes, containment of diseases and pollution has been a recurring theme since 2009, from radiation studies in Chernobyl and Fukushima, to malaria in Brasil and Tanzania, exposed both in my MAP publications and in the master course in extreme environments which I lead.”
