New handbook offers new strategies on physical activity with socially disadvantaged groups

Since October 2011 the Center for Sports and Architecture (CIA) has been an associate partner to the EU funded research project European Physical Activity Promotion Forum (Move) in collaboration with International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) and other European organisations. Now the research project has published a handbook; Move Handbook - A tool for promoting physical activity in socially disadvantaged groups.

Physical activity has a tendency to be lower in socially disadvantaged groups, who often face many obsticles in regards to being physically active. The new handbook offers the reader a better understanding of these barriers and gives instructions on how to successfully overcoming these barriers.
